About Us

Fingerprints Nursery is set within a large converted house in Cleckheaton creating a warm and friendly environment where your child feels safe and secure.

We are situated close to the centre of Cleckheaton, just a short walk from the main bus station and close to the main motorway network of the M62 & M606, conveniently connecting you to Bradford, Halifax, Huddersfield and Leeds.

Fingerprints Nursery is a family run business and is managed by a highly competent manager who is local to the area and has many years’ childcare experience.

Our Staff Team

At Fingerprints Nursery we have an enthusiastic team of Early Years Practitioners who are committed to providing the highest quality care for your children.

Our practitioners are selected following a rigorous recruitment process, during which we consider qualifications, experience, enthusiasm and commitment.  All practitioners have access to a wide range of training programs throughout the year enabling them to continually build on their skills and knowledge.  At Fingerprints Nursery we pride ourselves on the high qualifications of our staff team.

Our Day Care Provision

Fingerprints Nursery has provision for children from 3 months to 5 years.

This includes our baby room (3 months to two years), our toddler room (two to three years) and our pre-school room (three to five years).  Each room is allocated by age range as detailed above to ensure that the provision can be closely matched to your child’s interests and stage of development. Fingerprints Nursery has a spacious garden where the children can get plenty of exercise and develop their gross motor skills whilst having great fun in the sun with their nursery friends (even when the sun isn't shining).

Our Before and After School & Holiday Club Provision

Our service continues after our day care children have left nursery to go to school.

At Fingerprints Nursery we work in collaboration with our local schools to support busy working families with our school wraparound care and holiday club. We deliver and collect from local schools in the neighbouring community enabling parents to take up full time employment with the confidence and assurance that their children are cared for safely until the end of the working day. During school holidays, our holiday club organises a range of activities and local outings that are both educational and entertaining, embracing our philosophy; 'it's fun to learn'.

Extended Hours

Our standard hours are 8.00 am until 6.00 pm however, for parents who need to make an early start or require a later finish we offer extended hours to provide day care from 7.00 am until 7.00 pm where needed.

Settling In

Starting nursery or moving from another setting can be a worrying time for both you and your child.

Our settling in process is flexible to ensure your child’s individual needs are met.  We work closely with our parents/carers to ensure they can be confident that their child is both happy and secure whilst they are settling in.  Practitioners within each room are there to support the settling in sessions and to answer any questions or queries.  Practitioners will spend time getting to know you, your child and your family to ensure positive relationships are built right from the very beginning.

Your Key Person

During your settling in sessions you will be introduced to your child’s key person, who has special responsibilities for working with you and your child and giving them the reassurance to feel happy, safe and cared for during their time at Fingerprints Nursery.

Your key person will spend time building a close relationship with you and your child to ensure that they can fully meet your needs.  Your key person will also spend a lot of time talking to you and observing your child to find out about their individual interests and will use this information to plan exciting experiences for them each day.
